Like Kil, I don't watch Fox News (I don't even have cable) but I heard about the story on NPR and my husband also read about it online and was talking about it.

The pimp/hooker setup had to be tried many times before they finally found ACORN workers who would engage in criminal activity, and they were fired afterward.

To put this in a little perspective: Cops are publicly funded, and I don't hear anyone except Anarchists insisting that we not fund cops. And yet, how many stories are there are crooked cops engaged in crimes much more serious than this? If you look hard enough for corruption, especially if you set enough people up for it, eventually you'll catch someone.

Pretty much every news outlet reported it when the story hit. And they still are reporting on it. But you made the claim that it wasn't being reported. So it's up to you to tell us what "liberal media outlet" didn't report it. Especially since the list of outlets that did report it would take up pages of space!

Why don't you just admit that you made that up, or were lead to believe that crap from the phony news shows that you put your trust in.

Let me ask you. If I were to supply you a comprehensive list of all of those "liberal media" outlets that reported that story from the beginning and are continuing to report it, would that for you cast some doubt for you as to the honesty of Fox news as a reliable source for information?

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Why not question something for a change?

Where did you hear that?

You have 5 videos that come out over several days showing ACORN people advising on how to set up a child prostitution rings and then get tax breaks from it and your giving the Baltimore sun, NPR and the NYT all with one report each? Then the house and senate overwhelmingly vote to defund ACORN from federal monies! This has been a week long unfolding story! BTW, where are the ABC's, NBC's, CBS's, CNN etc... etc...

A community organizing group closely tied to the prez who gets federal funds and who is involved in heavy voter fraud is now is also advising on child prostitution and tax fraud, gets defunded by the house and senate after a number of damning videos surface and you give one story from NPR, BS and the NYT. What a joke!

Now had this been a conservative group who committed major voter fraud, advised on child prostation and tax evasion etc... while taking federal dollars Keith and Rachael would have been going ape $hit for months.

Wait, I thought the video showed two people posing "undercover" as a pimp and prostitute who received information from an ACORN employee on how to avoid paying certain income taxes. Now you're claiming that an ACORN employee instructed someone on how to actually set up a child pornography ring? You'd better back up that assertion pronto.

Both of these actions came after secretly recorded videos involving employees in Acorn's Brooklyn, N.Y., Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Md. and San Bernardino, Calif. offices were televised on Fox News. The videos were recorded by two independent filmmakers who posed as a prostitute and a pimp and said they were planning to import underage women from El Salvador for the sex trade. They asked for and received advice on getting a housing loan and evading federal taxes.

What's "common knowledge," Bill? The fact that they "asked for and received advice on getting a housing loan and evading federal taxes." A housing loan and advice on income tax evasion are not the same as being instructed on "setting up a child prostitution ring." Please back up that claim of yours or admit to lying.

Are the actual charges against the ACORN employees not sufficiently nefarious that you have to make shit up, Bill? What does that say about your ethics, credibility, and state of mind?

They gave the filmmakers advise on running the prostitute ring and how to use it for tax breaks. The one even offered to help get the underage girls into the country and wanted in on the action. Did you even see the sting videos?

The video sounds like a satire: A young man and woman, dressed as caricatures of a pimp and prostitute, walk into the Baltimore office of ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, and spin an outrageous story about how the woman needs help buying a house to set up as a brothel for underage Salvadoran girls - and rather than kick them to the curb, two volunteers give them advice on how to avoid paying taxes on their illicit enterprise.

http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/opinion/editorial/bal-ed.acorn13sep13,0,5038567.story

Two employees of the advocacy group ACORN are shown on a hidden-camera video released Monday, apparently advising a couple posing as a prostitute and her pimp to lie about her profession and launder her earnings.

The video was the latest in a series that has already led to the firing of four ACORN employees in Baltimore and Washington, D.C. It was created by James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles and posted on BigGovernment.com, where O'Keefe identifies himself as an activist filmmaker.

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=112733354

But it took amateur actors, posing as a prostitute and a pimp and recorded on hidden cameras in visits to Acorn offices, to send government officials scrambling in recent days to sever ties with the organization.

Conservative advocates and broadcasters were gleeful about the success of the tactics in exposing Acorn workers, who appeared to blithely encourage prostitution and tax evasion. It was, in effect, the latest scalp claimed by those on the right who have made no secret of their hope to weaken the Obama administration by attacking allies and appointees they view as leftist.

The story has escalated in the past week as hidden-camera videos have been released showing workers at separate offices of ACORN ?a nation community outreach group that receives millions in federal funding ?appearing to advise a couple dressed as a pimp and prostitute how to skirt the law and set up a brothel.

But Gibson told a radio show Tuesday morning that he wasn't familiar with the story ?and it might be "just one you leave to the cables."

ABC reporter Jake Tapper has filed some reports on the scandal, and Gibson was asked on WLS Radio's "Don & Roma Show" what he thought of the story.

"I don't even know about it," Gibson said, laughing. "So you've got me at a loss. ... But my goodness, if it's got everything, including sleaziness in it, we should talk about it in the morning."

When one of the radio show's hosts described it as a "huge issue," Gibson said ABC had "done some stories about ACORN before, but this one I don't know about."

Yes, it shows that your claims that the liberal media have been avoiding the story are jokes, Bill. Now you want to move the goalposts by insisting upon quantity.
Now had this been a conservative group who committed major voter fraud...
And now you want to ignore last year's major coverage by all media outlets of ACORN's voter registration fraud. (And note that calling it voter fraud is conservative propaganda.)
...advised on child prostation and tax evasion etc... while taking federal dollars Keith and Rachael would have been going ape $hit for months.
The reporting on the videos began last week, Bill, when the videos went public. Just because you don't pay attention to the "liberal media" doesn't mean that it is silent on these issues. I've heard ACORN reports every day on NPR since last Friday. You want months of coverage, you're going to have to wait for months to have gone by.

Where is ABC, CBS, or NBC? The liberal media that still has some subscribers.

ABC news online lists 42 results in the last week for stories mentioning ACORN, most of them about the latest scandal.

CBS news online lists 22 stories mentioning ACORN over the last seven days, and today's top story under "politics" is about ACORN.

MSNBC has had the earliest coverage I've seen, with them posting the AP article on Sept 10th announcing that FOX News had broken the story earlier that day. CNBC.com lists 19 ACORN pieces over the last week.

Heck, HH did not even know the full impact of the scandal(s). He is just now learning today that 5 Acorn chapters gave advice on how to run an underage hooker ring and bilk the gov. on top of it. He thought Acorn was simply involved in overage prostitution and tax evasion, while receiving federal monies, which is no big deal if they are libs. But what do you expect when one is indoctrinated. This is just the logical conclusion to his indoctrination. He didn't even know. He was deceived of the truth by the ones he trusted. Poor fool.
