Here maybe?

Larry Lomax, the registrar of voters in Las Vegas, says he believes 48% of Acorn's forms "are clearly fraudulent."

If that's the case, I can't begin to explain the many ways, "How about the 48% voter fraud rate that they hold," is wrong.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

Yeah, Bill has been indoctrinated to think that fraudulent voter registration forms are the same thing as fraudulent votes, even though none of the dead people or pets or wholly fictional people will ever show up to vote.

The funniest part of the whole conservative hardon for ACORN is that ACORN is who discovered and reported the fraudulent registration forms to the proper authorities. They weren't caught out by some third party (like faux "news" would have you believe). So none of the fake forms were ever actually processed. Because of ACORN thousands of fraudulent registrations never happened!

Why do you hate an organization that works so hard to preserve the integrity of the electoral process Bill? Are you some sort of vote supressing communist?

The only plausible reason left for conservatives to hate them is that they register people who vote democrat.

Ed Brayton points out that the recently passed laws defunding ACORN may be unconstitutional bills of attainder. Maybe. Perhaps.

Good one. What would you bet that Bill believes that ACORN staffers murder their spouses?

Tell Me More did an extensive interview with Bertha Lewis, the CEO of ACORN. You can either listen to it or read the transcript: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=113026773

They invited O'Keeffe the filmmaker, but he declined an interview.

A filmmaker declining an interview on NPR? I'll bet that's some kind of first.

So, the latest evidence was that this employee was just pretending to play along while discretely contacting the police? how evil of him.

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

Well, no, according to the story, he waited two days before contacting the cops. He got fired, and rightly so.

A story over a week ago on NPR said that one ACORN worker had contacted the cops while the "pimp and prostitute" were still in the office, and I don't think that person wound up in any of the videos being aired these days. The one thing that the "pimp" doesn't seem to want to give up are the videos in which the ACORN workers weren't idiots, which just goes to prove how much of a manufactroversy this really is, and how intentionally dishonest the conservative film-maker is being.

Just to beat the dead horse one last time:

The AIG bailout cost every man, woman and child in the US about $400.

The GM bailout cost everyone about $167.

Blackwater cost each one of us about $3.33.

ACORN's per-capita cost was about 6.7 cents.

Which one did Bill complain about?

Well, if you were to spend 6.7 cents here and 6.7 cents there pretty soon you'd be talking about real lunch money.

Now here's something interesting about the legislation passed that defunds ACORN: It's probably unconstitutional.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rt5heDbjz84

Article 1 of the Constitution states that bills of attainder are banned, meaning Congress can't pass any legislation directly targeting a single person or a specific group.
