But really, who is the nut-job, here?
In Tuesday's New York Times, columnist Tom Friedman warned that there was a climate of anger in the US that could lead to violence against President Barack Obama. This morning, Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele called Friedman a "nut-job" for his remarks.

According to Friedman, "Criticism from the far right has begun tipping over into delegitimation and creating the same kind of climate here that existed in Israel on the eve of the [Yitzhak] Rabin assassination." Rabin, an Israeli prime minister, was killed by a right-wing Israeli radical in 1995.

In response, Steele said, "Where do these nutjobs come from? Come on, stop this."

Well, there's surely one sitting behind Steele's desk. And there seems to be a large percentage of a major, political party that answers to that call even more vigorously. You know, Teabaggers and their fellow travelers on the Brain-Damaged Express to Bedlam.

Well, I disagree with Friedman on many matters, but on this subject he seems to be the voice of reason. The radicals on the right need to tone down their rhetoric or get out of the party.

As far as Michael Steele calling Friedman a "nut-job": compared to whom?

Rush Limbaugh?

Glenn Beck?

Sarah Palin?

Michael Savage?

Ann Coulter?

Other suggestions?
