From-the-cradle atheist here.

I wasn't raised anything; I was a neglected only child.

It was a long slow process for me, starting when my family left the Catholic Church when I was young, through 'researching' magic, trying various religions, and then throwing it all too the side because none of it seamed to conform to reality (though I didn't quite understand that was what I was doing at the time). Though I didn't think of myself as an Atheist at the time.

I started the process from 'None' to Atheist with the help of this site, SFN. I learned to question all these loose beliefs I had and learned to question and find evidence. Then I tested those skills on Christian site. The reactions I got there just convinced me that, for me, religions where not worth it. And I finally accepted there was no evidence for a personal god.

At that point I decided to call myself an Atheist.
