I don't think this is going to work. To abruptly place a species into an environment that it has not evolved into is almost always disastrous, either to the environment or the species itself, or both. Florida, for example already has so many invasive species that it is an environmental basket case.
There's a new frontline on the battlefield between the two baddest armies of environmental change—global warming and biodiversity loss. The question is whether or not to relocate endangered species to ecosystems they've never inhabited in order to save them from the real or predicted loss of their natural ecosystems from climate change.

Another problem we face here, that no one seems to want to address, is the world's ever-expanding human population and it's resultant by-products -- various pollutants, greenhouse gases and so forth. And it's only going to get worse because we lack the will to do something, anything, about it. And God has never provided as scripture has promised.

Yeah. I think we can expect mass extinctions.
And I agree, moving a species into an already functioning ecosystem is very dangerous. We would probably just be trading species for extinction. Of course, it could be that all ecosystems will be making adjustments, and if some kind of determination could be made that some species are of a higher value than others, it might be successful on a limited bases. But how in the hell could that kind of determination be made when we are really speaking about very complex systems?
