Just read this article about a lonely old woman who willed hundreds of thousands of dollars to Family Radio instead of her relatives, some of whom were financially struggling. I find that the saddest part of this story is that apparently Family Radio was the only thing of deep substance and interest that this woman had in her life. She had hundreds of thousands of dollars, and a bit of extended family, and yet she sat around listening to this Family Radio crap all day, every day. How does that happen?

Maybe she would have left some to her relatives if they had been more of a presence in her life.

Personally I don't believe in the whole concept of inheritance. It is one of the main causes of dynastic wealth and class division in society.

Yeah, that's kind of what I was trying to get at - that it is really sad that this radio station was the most important social connection in her life.

I don't like inheritance for that reason as well.
