Check out the latest young preacher. Granted I haven't read every article or comment related to this little guy but the mainstream media seems to have forgotten about Marjoe.

I do think his story is pretty important. After people learn about Marjoe I doubt they will be as impressed with the latest batch of munchkins. |

Well, I watched Nat Geo's Pint Sized Preachers last night. They remembered Marjoe...for about 30 seconds. If I would have blinked I would have missed it.
The show was pretty interesting although I would have liked to see some criticism. There was very little criticism going on. |

By coincidence, I watched "Wild Bill," with Jeff Bridges, on Netflix last night, and Marjoe appeared as a preacher. I thought it was refreshingly good casting. He was doing the full-bore evangelical thing, and provided a much more authentic and satisfying performance than we usually get from Hollywood films. Sort of equivalent to R. Lee Ermey in "Full Metal Jacket," I guess.
Given how much I usually like Jeff Bridges, and Westerns in general, the movie was rather disappointing, largely due to some questionable directorial decisions.
