Stephen Law caught this one. Pretty easy since the claim was made in a debate with Law.

This is yet another apologetic attempt to make reality mesh with the bible. In this instance William Craig, in a debate with Law had claimed that animals don't feel pain.

Recently, some theists have attempted to deal with that part of the problem of evil generated by horrendous animal suffering found in nature - including hundreds of millions of years of animal suffering before we humans even showed up - by saying that animals aren't aware that they are in pain. They maintain this is what "science" has shown.

This video is where he makes the claim about how non-higher primate animals have no prefrontal cortex.

Law has a video in his post linked at the beginning where several scientists call that claim of Craig's to be outright bullshit.

The tosser here is that Craig got that "scientific" fact from a fellow bullshit artist (apologist) named Micheal Murray.

This is an example of the idiocy that comes about when one tries to force reality into ideology. Just like with the creationists with the speed of light problem.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

I gather that William Craig has no pets, or if he does he has no grasp of reality.

I would say his connection with reality is less than it could be. Possibly a result of his conformation bias and somewhat from being an old school moron. I'm not saying that because I disagree with his unfounded belief but before the age of 12 y/o most people become aware of animals nature and their ability to experience pain.

When I was very young it was taught that what made humans different from animals was our ability to make and use tools. I've lost count of examples where that has been shown and proven wrong.

I suspect Mr. Craig has a defective pre-frontal cortex

This brain region has been implicated in planning complex cognitive behavior, personality expression, decision making and moderating social behavior.[1] The basic activity of this brain region is considered to be orchestration of thoughts and actions in accordance with internal goals.[2]

There are only two types of religious people, the deceivers and the deceived. SS
