It's impossible to tell for sure without lots and lots of individualized testing. There is no medication for which the response rate is 100% (some people get zero relief from aspirin, for example). |
It's important to keep in mind that headaches don't have one cause. For people who aspirin works for a tension headache are not likely to get the same relief from a headache due to a brain tumor or aneurysm for that matter but point taken.
I've been looking for that podcast I mentioned and haven't found it yet but I remembered a really good article in wired mag' in 2007 on placebos and found it here, a very informative article on the topic. I haven't given up looking for that podcast on placebos yet but I might after a bit. |
