The video is a hoot. The reporter says (@1:50) "(he) insisted I take a ride", it's only got one seat! So he side stradles her to the trunk and drives off! This inventor does not take "No Way" from anyone, not reporters or even physics.

A gigawatt is a 1,000 megawatts. Wiki shows a gigawatt is about ballpark output for a nuclear power facility. I worked at a 400 acre solar facility rated at 30 megawatts -- power for about 5,000 homes.
