           	| Verlch's Song

You say we came from monkeys
You say we came from goo
You ask me to believe those lies
And say I have no clue
But I have something on you
 And your whole foolish crew
 Someday you'll come to realize
 What's obviously true

 We were all created
 And that's where we begin
 We never had a tail
And we never had a fin
 We were all created
 Not merely on a whim
Of course we blew it right away
So now were born in sin

But wait a second, I digress
Lets leave that last part out
 We'll deal with that after
I've removed all of your doubt
For now just try and understand
A plan has been laid out
It's not for us to wonder
What the plan is all about

So anyhow there is this plan
 Whatever that may be
 It gets us into heaven
And that's good enough for me
 Along comes evolution
Is it science? Is it libel?
I know it can't be true
Because it's nowhere in the Bible

 I know we were created
I can cite chapter and verse
 And I know this evolution
Has been nothing but a curse
 A blight on all humanity
And an insult to our maker
A mere excuse to cut us loose
 From ties to our creator

So go ahead my fishy friends
 With all your fishy fossils
And all your fishy dates for them
 And all your fishy models
 Take your fishy theory
With all its fishy lies, ‘cause
 I'm going to live forever
 A true fish never dies

 I'm going to live forever
 What's your silly theory got?
I am armed with one true truth
And my truth says your not
 So phooey on your evidence
 Your logic and your reason
 Knowledge was forbidden
And I'm doing my best to please him…

Ok, what can I say? I had too much time on my hands today...

| Kil, I have put a funky blues riff over the top for it.....
Twelve bar in A maj.......we got somethin' here......

We need a four line chorus after every second verse so it all fits....

Any takers and we can make it the SFN theme.....

| Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.

 And those Commie Evo's, too
 Will fear the tribulation
And be crushed beneath my shoe

Note to self: watch out for Kil and gez.

| What rhymes with 'illuminati'? And 'freemason'?
Come on, people, all of these things need to be in "verlch's song" (no caps, for style).

Wow. I actually agree with Storm about something. Who woulda thunk? But yes, I was also going to point out that stanza as particularly well written. Nice work, Kil.

| Doesn't anyone feel a little uncomfortable with this thread?
It looks to me like an ad hom ridiculing and indeed, an attack on a member of these fora, and something you might find at one of the more confused creationist sites.

Ladies and gentlemen, I fear we've crossed the line, here. While verlch doesn't agree with us and often makes outrageous statements, he doesn't deserve this sort of treatment.

This is beneath us, or at least it should be.
