I just wanted to post a link to The Importance of Education, over on Panda's Thumb, as a reminder of one of the reasons that this particular folder exists at SFN.

I guess that's really the biggest reminder that I got from the second graders: Children matter. The students that we educate today are going to be the teachers and scientists of the future. They deserve nothing less from us than the best education that we can give them - and that means that we should encourage their curiosity, and provide honest answers to their questions.
