It's a start.

I'm cautiously optimistic. Heck, when they caught Rush Limbaugh ingesting enough Vicodan to kill a bull elephant, I thought that was the end of him. I'm still waiting...

"What the hell is an Aluminum Falcon?"

"Oh, I'm sorry. I thought my Dark Lord of the Sith could protect a small thermal exhaust port that's only 2-meters wide! That thing wasn't even fully paid off yet! You have any idea what this is going to do to my credit?!?!"

"What? Oh, oh, 'just rebuild it'? Oh, real [bleep]ing original. And who's gonna give me a loan, jackhole? You? You got an ATM on that torso LiteBrite?"

DeLay is one of the guys who has been really sucking up to the religious right, right?

Well, we'll wait and see if a conviction results.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

Yes, apparently there just might be some justice in the world.

Bugboy looks like he's about to fall, doesn't he? But this has a long way to go yet, and I'm already reading that Ronnie Earl is catching a lot of incoming flak from the starboard beam.

Earl, incidently, has proscetuted a lot more democrats than Republicans, in spite of being a democrat himself.

Just saw him on TV answering questions... he says he's indicted 15 elected officials in his tenure, 12 of whom were democrats.

As gratifying as a perp walk would be, I don't think he'll be arrested quite yet.

It's crude, but what the heck, I felt inspired.

Randy, that's incredibly cruel to do that to the squid.

Once again, CNN uncovers its 'FOX' in sheep's clothing by failing to refute the talking points that poor Mr Delay is just a victim of a "political vendetta".

Lemme guess. They glossed over that the guy prosecuting him is a Democrat who, out of the 15 cases he's prosecuted, 12 have been against Democrats. Instead taking Delay's "partisan picking on" at face value.

Pretty much typical. We no longer have a national news media; we have a pack of cheap sluts willing to trade their asses and their souls for a dime bag of Republican spunk and a rag to wipe their faces and their rectums afterward. I think it will come back to haunt them in the long run.

Until then, be damned them, the cowardly, Bush fellatating scrapings from the monkey-house floor, and all of their works.

Blogs are good, if you find the right ones; the ones that tell it like it is....

From the Daily Kos:
quote:
Tom Delay will plea 'nolo contendere'
by Walt starr
Thu Sep 29th, 2005 at 09:58:53 PDT
(From the diaries -- kos)

DeLay will not plea nolo contendere at the arraingment. There will be a not guilty plea entered there, but he will eventually plea at least nolo contendere.

In about January when the hearings get started, I expect the plea to be changed to nolo contendere. This is because DeLay has most likely already entered into a plea bargain. My reasoning is because of timing and the indictment itself.

First of all, DeLay entered into a meeting with Ronnie Earle and the Public Integrity unit of the Travis County DA's office on August 17. This would be more than three years after most of the events surrounding the money laundering operation would have taken place and thus, the statute of limitations would have already run out on the conspiracy charge.

Second, look to the language in the indictment itself:

The font is small, but it's worth making a Word document to read the whole thing.

A pretty good prediction...? We'll see.
