Hopefully, I will get this image far enough down on this page, so it won't intrude on the front page.

Here's an idea for a new SFN T-shirt. Anyone else have ideas?

My idea for a T-shirt:

I'm a skeptic--which means I can't believe you're that stupid.

Ok, maybe too confrontational.

"A man is his own easiest dupe, for what he wishes to be true he generally believes to be true." --Demosthenes

"The first principle is that you must not fool yourself - and you are the easiest person to fool." --Richard P. Feynman

I like it. We're in a skeptics' humor forum here, so anything goes. No real shirts have to be worn.

Here's how that one might look:

How about "As a skeptic, I can't believe you're that stupid."

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

my idea, also far too confrontational, is this:
If you're so intelligently designed, how come you're so stupid

I love every one of these designs so far, ESPECIALLY the ones with Bush and Myanmar and that first one pointing toward genitals. The cold reading one isn't as funny as the rest, but I bet it would get a lot of people asking what "cold reading" is, and thus be a good conversation/educational piece.

Thanks. I'm kinda proud of the Myanmar one, myself. Yeah, some of mine are pretty much "inside" jokes, not too useful on the street. Also, some would tend to promote the (so unfair!) impression that many people seem to have, that we skeptics are arrogant. (But what would THEY know?)

Still, they're only virtual T-shirts, and anything goes in a humor forum.

You know, some of these are pretty darned good!

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Why not question something for a change?
