As someone pointed out elsewhere, Hovind always counters evolution supporters with "Now you're perfectly welcome to believe that, but don't call it science, and don't use my tax dollars to support your religion."
Um, what tax dollars would he be referring to?

Far be it from me to gloat over the misfortune of another, but damn Sam! this has been a long time coming....
And it's misfortunes of his own devices. I figured he'd get busted for a tax cheat sooner or later -- Hovind's been weaseling around that for decades -- but I confess to being a little surprised that he's stupid enough to threaten the cops. The false complaints charge is also a little unsettling.
But then, I am reminded of the assault charges filed by a tenant of his a couple of years ago and consider that perhaps I shouldn't be all that surprised. I have, over the years, been acquainted with similar persons, difference being that those persons whom I knew were called thugs.
What a pity. I and a another SFN member had planned to get good and drunk, and go to Dinosaur Adventure Land with the express purpose of meeting the great man and puking on his shoes. Guess we'll have to postpone that trip for a while. Or maybe take it to Cincinnati....

Hovind is a liar, con artist, and thief.
He preys on people who do not posess the mental faculty to detect his bullshit.
He has fake credentials and shamelessly calls himself "Dr".
He is indicted on 58 counts, most involving money. 58 crimes, involving money.
Personally I hope he sees the inside of a jail cell for some significant time.
