Yesterday, the frustration of not being able to get through to Jerome got the better of me. I lost my temper and wrote a post in this thread that I shouldn't have done.

Particularly the part about us ever coming face-to-face, which Jerome voiced concern over during the Sunday Chat.

Jerome, I sincerely regret writing anything that you would interpret as an implied threat of physical violence. This was not my intention. People who know me can testify that I am a peaceful guy.

I feel ashamed of my behaviour, and ask that you forgive me for this particular transgression. It was born out of frustration over our inability to communicate in any meaningful way.

We may have our disagreements, and I may not think very highly of you, but this is something I truly feel bad about. To be honest, bad enough that I lost a lot of sleep over this!
I only manage to get 4 hours last night, not the 9 hours I was looking forward to after a hectic weekend.

bye bye 6 pages of this thread.... ah well.

The internets tubes were just clogged by Jerome's lunacy anyway.

>chemicals will simply diffuse away before they have a chance to interact further (i.e. the concentration problem).

The "concentration problem" was solved in 2006. See below from Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 2007.

http://www.pnas.org/content/104/22/9346.full#F1

The mechanism for concentration is simple, rapidly concentrates by 6-9 orders of magnitude, and is unavoidable. ie you can't STOP it from happening.

This is why science rocks. It rocks because over time the missing pieces are slowly filled in, one by one. Can the mechanism for origins of life from non-life be revealed? Some believe (Theists) it has been revealed in the bible, God did it. They say we'll never understand with our puny brains (speak for yourself), how he took a rib and made much more than lunch but desert. He made a WOMAN. Yahoo! Is God great or what?
Oh! and God didn't come out of nothing, others may question. He always was, is and will be. How neat and clean is that boy's and girls.
Well, I ain't buying it, when the likes of Gerome say
I do believe in God, based on the complexities of life.

McBinkster's linked paper was published 4 years ago. Which brings us today. Just as this thread sat quite for three years. How interesting it is that his/her post should be posted the same day 8/16/10, as this article. A article that asks "Could thermodynamic fluctuations have led to the origins of life?" Here. I am confident we will keep filling in the gaps. Eventually their delusion will become obvious to even them. SS
