Whoremongering Hypocrite May Lose More Than His Senate Seat

After it was revealed that he was a client of "DC Madam" Deborah Jeane Palfrey, "pro-family" Louisiana GOP Senator David Vitter, said:
"This was a very serious sin in my past for which I am, of course, completely responsible," Vitter said in a statement given to reporters Monday night. "Several years ago, I asked for and received forgiveness from God and from my wife in confession and marriage counseling."
He may also want to consider consulting a bodyguard agency.

In 2000, Vitter's wife, former prosecutor Wendy Vitter, said:
"I'm a lot more like Lorena Bobbitt than Hillary. If he [Vitter] does some-
thing like that, I'm walking away with one thing, and it's not alimony, trust me"

Jimmy, is that you? I didn't know that you were into politics as well....

Really, this guy seems to crave professionial, illicet ass almost as much as Jimmy Swaggert. If Ms. Wendy is serious, we may soon read that she went Bobbitt on him and bobbed it.

I am sure that there are Democrats who do this sort of thing on a regular basis -- indeed, they had a president impeached over lying about it, but the preponderence of cases seem to revolve around those Republicans who rail the loudest about 'family values' and the everyone else's morality. Why, I wonder, is this?

Booman has some thoughts on the matter and a brief list of examples. I particularly like, and agree with, his closing statement:
Americans need to learn: if someone tells you how to act sexually, hide your children and vote for the other party.

Nothing new in politics. People in power express that power in many ways; sexually included.

The thing here is: He had to pay for it!

What a man believes upon grossly insufficient evidence is an index into his desires -- desires of which he himself is often unconscious. If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. If, on the other hand, he is offered something which affords a reason for acting in accordance to his instincts, he will accept it even on the slightest evidence. The origin of myths is explained in this way. - Bertrand Russell

What I find odd is that many of these hypocrites seem to have an actual preference and fetish for prostitutes, as though they see them as "dirty girls" and are turned on by the whole idea of the business being "evil." Maybe there's some kind of deep psychological thing going on here. In many cases, as with Vitter, the guys are not unattractive, and should be able to find naive, Monica Lewinsky-types who are attracted to power. But instead these guys seek out "fallen women" (or "fallen men").

Just a thought. Among other things, Larry Flynt just happens to be a national treasure. It isn't muckraking to expose the hypocrisy of these men of virtue and family values. What these guys should know is it ain't God who will be exposing their lies. It's Larry Flynt who has put a price on their heads…

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Agree & agree.

Isn't it odd that a pornographer has become the conscience of Congress, and, concievably, of us all? The man rocks!

You can DIGG this story, by clicking on this link: Arrested pol is McCain campaign Florida co-chairman.

A member of the Florida House of Representatives arrested yesterday on charges of soliciting a male undercover police officer is the co-Chairman of the Florida campaign of presidential hopeful John McCain, PageOneQ has learned.

Bob Allen (R) was appointed Florida co-Chairman of the McCain campaign in March. At the time, McCain said he was proud of the support he received from Allen and that Allen and his three co-chairs were "respected leaders in their communities and have real experience wrestling with the important issues of our day." McCain pledged to "turn to these leaders. Their counsel will be very helpful and their support invaluable."

Fox News Orlando reported the arrest yesterday evening. According to the report, Allen was charged with a second degree misdemeanor. Allen, who is married, was arrested in Titusville, Florida, approximately twenty-five miles east of the district he represents.
Apparently, this is a follow-up from an original story, linked in the article.

Pathetic.
