Ah; the good ol' quantum mechanic.
Such a license for so many woo that never understood it to pretend whatever they feel like.
How it would be missed if it did not exist.
It is just a tiny bit spoiled by the fact that it does not apply beyond the atomic level. But, after all, what minor annoyance are facts for the motived! |

No, you've just been mind-controlled into thinking that you have escaped from it. Once you assume that mind control is a possibility, there is no freedom from it, because anything you might think could be the result of mind control, and you can't tell the difference. Thinking you can tell the difference might only be the result of mind control. Your statement that you might have found a way out only demonstrates that you haven't followed your premises to their logical conclusions, but stopped when you found a happy place supporting your wanna-be-superhuman ego somewhere in the middle. Honestly, do you think you're Neo or just Morpheus?

You're sounding paranoid.
Neo from the Matrix is another false Messiah who saves everyone. He does not lead them out of the Matrix, which, of course, real Messiahs do through their acts of healing and teaching. Real Messiahs don't manipulate the Matrix for selfish gains or do battle with enemies.
They point the way. It's a difficult journey and not very glamorous.
Ego, of course is a barrier to true higher consciousness. Reaching for states of higher conscious without spiritualizing the ego produces Nietzchian supermen trying to destroy half of the world in order to save the remaining half.

First of, ego has several meanings but, if you are referring to conscience, you would be suggesting the Freudian or the Cartesian definition, in which case, ego is what is waiting for you at the place where meditation is leading.

I love how the forces of woo pick and choose the science that they want to exploit if it serves them, while all the time being anti science. The word Quantum has been so heavily misused by them in so many areas, including the one Gary likes, right out of the "What the Bleap" pseudo science baloney camp, it makes me laugh.

Actually if you must insist on associating mind control with paranoia, then why not replace the term "mind control" with ignorance, because it is the same thing or more exactly the same state or condition.

Obviously not synonyms! You can pretend mind control doesn't exist, but it's a lot harder to deny the existence of ignorance.
People tend to believe ignorance is our natural state due to the slowness of our evolution - like we just quit swinging from trees a few seconds ago according to Darwin. With a little mind control on top of Darwin's own unhelpful input, human evolution at a gentle snail's pace can come to a complete stop.
