Galathea is now by far my highest-ranked "toon" in the City of Villains online roleplaying game.

Her back-story in her own words:
Thousands of years ago, Pygmalion, the greatest sculptor of the Greeks, chisled a statue from the hardest, milk-white stone. It was so beautiful, he fell in love with it. Goddess of Love, Aphrodite took "pity" on Pygmalion, and animated the statue. Thus I came into being. Years passed, Pygmalion grew old and died, yet I aged not. Aphrodite allowed Pygmalion, my lover, my husband, my creator, to die! In my cold, stone heart, I have sworn vengeance upon Aphrodite, "Love" herself. I heft Pygmalion's heaviest sculpting mallets, and I can metaporphose into rough stone at will. I shall kill Love!

So she can transform into rough stone, but does she do anything other than stand around, arms akimbo?

I'll have you know that standing around arms akimbo is a very highly regarded activity among the Villains of the Rogue Isles, just as it is among the Heroes of Paragon City. There is also the arms folded in front stance, but that's for lowby n00bz.

I used to play CoH and CoV. Have been playing World of Warcraft for a couple of years now, and may switch up to Age of Conan or Warhammer Online in the near future.

What server did you play on, Dude? I'm mainly on Protector, and a member of the second-ranking Villain Group, The Evil Graveyard Shift.

The Rikti aliens are attacking in force nowadays (in Issue 10), prompting Villains and Heroes to fight side by side against them.

I may play that one someday. Right now, my only MMORPG is Flyff (Fly for Fun). There's a pirate one I may download someday...

Half asked:

Its been a while... I think it was the Freedom server, or something like that. I may have had a toon on protector, but it never made it out of the teens.

The game became really repetative for me, with the very small number of mission maps, and the ridiculous time needed to make it from one level to the next when you got to the mid 20s.

Freedom is the busiest of all the servers, followed by Virtue.

They've fixed a good deal of the mission repetition, though certainly not entirely. There are a great deal of new missions now. And it's possible to play in PvP zones if one likes human competition. Then (with Issue 9) there is the a system for crafting superior enhancements for powers, with ingredients and enhancements bought and sold on a real, inter-server market for game money. And working with a good super-group really makes things better, and often helps with the leveling grind.

But the game does rely upon a certain degree of OCD in players.

If any of you do get into CoV or CoH, please get on the Protector server, and let me know.
