I don't think Marlo Thomas did too bad at 62. Haven't seen her in a while. That's her on the left.

Here's Marlo Thomas at 69:

I think it's nice that nobody has started "Four reasons to hate God," a thread devoted to people who've aged badly.

Strangely, this article is completely off-topic, despite its headline.

Well, you can call that godly; to me they're just creepy.

Well, you kind of have to not look at them real close. Kind of squint your eyes until you get that Doris Day kind of haze around them, then turn sideways just a little, so you're really looking at something else, but kind of looking at them. Then you'll see it. If you're an old guy.

Couldn't resist a little rewrite. From:

Researchers at the EGI have been studying great tits in Wytham, Oxfordshire, since 1947. For the purposes of this study, the researchers analysed the weight of nestlings at Wytham over a 36-year period. The team found that over time, birds in different parts of the same woodland had evolved in different directions, getting heavier in one part and lighter in another.

Researchers at the EGI have been studying great tits in Wytham, Oxfordshire, since 1947. For the purposes of this study, the researchers analysed the size of young great tits at Wytham over a 36-year period. The team found that over time, great tits in different parts of the same woodland had evolved in different directions, getting heavier in one part and lighter in another.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.
