Prisoner brags, "I've done worse!"

Pisco, Peru (DP) -- A man in his thirties was taken into custody after being found almost unscathed in the ruins of the San Clemente church, after Wednesday's "great" 8.0 earthquake smote Peru, killing at least 540 people.

Hook 'em and book 'em.

The suspect, bearded, and with long hair, was wearing some kind of women's gown or robe. The church had collapsed, killing many in an aftershock, after people flocked to it following Wednesday's main quake. A police spokesman in Pisco described the quakes as "acts of God," and assured the public that all those responsible would be rounded up. Two other suspects remain at large.
