Somethings you just have to read to believe.

Some things are just so damned stupid, even I can't comment on them. (actually, it's more that I'm just too lazy to).

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

''If you put all these ideas in a child's head, that he can become a wizard, the child believes that, and that is opening an avenue through which the devil can get in,'' Mendoza said Friday

Of course the putting the idea that if you believe in a guy coming back from the dead to make up for a girl eating an apple you get eternal life into children's heads, that's OK. These clowns need to get a grip on reality instead of living in their fantasy world, and stop treating other fantasy worlds as if they really exist.

Without strong, faith-bound families, which he said allow individuals to see God's work in everyday life, people lose touch with God and seek ''magical solutions'' to modern problems.

Damn, another irony meter shot to hell. I gotta get a heavy duty one.

The foundation of morality is to . . . give up pretending to believe that for which there is no evidence, and repeating unintelligible propositions about things beyond the possibliities of knowledge.

Yeah those Mexicans are a bit weird when it comes to demons and whatnot, as I explained previously, many places in Central America actually still believe that Smurfs are real and malicious demons. Perhaps they are confusing them with the very real phenomenon of the Blue Fairies, AKA Those who must not be named.

Well, at least this priest is an acknowledged expert in his field:
The Reverend Pedro Mendoza, a Roman Catholic priest and exorcist coordinator of the Archdiocese of Mexico City, made the comments at the end of a five-day exorcism conference in Mexico City.
