Each year, Answers in Genesis holds an essay contest, top prize of which is a $50,000 scholarship to Liberty University.
The 2007 winners have been announced, but save yourself the pain of reading them, and go get the nice summaries provided at Halfway There. A small taste:It is breathtakingly cheeky for creationists to follow a criticism of evidence for evolution with baldly dogmatic statements, but one learns not to be surprised. Rebecca, of course, is merely conforming to the model she was given.

Pathetic; simply pathetic. One hopes that these kids are smart enough to see some light cast by other than pious liars.
On a related note, Falwell's life insurance has paid off all of LU's debt, which shows how savagly he ripped off his extended congregation. It takes a lot of ready cash to pay the vigorish on that large a policy.

Here's a weird truth about the making of the Fat Bastard/Jerry Falwell composite: I actually had to trim a bit of fat cheek from Falwell's face to make it fit. I swear.
