I've busied myself reading the Russell's Teapot cartoon series last night and today. I only wish I could approach that quality in my own work. Tip of the hat to PZ. Hope you enjoy its brilliance as much as I do!:

That is a brilliant cartoon-- though, being ignorant of most things Mithra, are all those assertions true? I guess I could wiki it, but I'm just wondering...

The only one I didn't hear of was the 12 disciples. I seem to recall the 12 zodiac signs playing a role, though. Could that be what the cartoonist meant?

After a quick search I found this, which has some info, but not all of it.
