Brit John Davis no longer has time for his day job, or room for the Missus, but he certainly has a cool flight simulator!

John Davis spent eight years and £15,000 building a Boeing 747 flight simulator in a room in his house. And now the 47-year-old's hobby has turned into such a full-time occupation that he has jacked in his job as a graphic designer to run a full-time flight simulation business from his home in Coventry, UK. We interviewed John about his setup, including how much it costs to fly his sim:

Me, too. So much. I already have the no-job, no-wife parts working.

Very cool.

When I was a kid, my dad, (who had connections) got me a T 33 flight simulator which consisted of the entire front cockpit and canopy front screen, plus unarmed ejection seat, control column, throttle and all gauges. I had many happy flights in the garage. (The bedroom was too small for it.)

Later in life we eventually donated it to the Champlin Fighter Museum.
