Damn, wonder what Abbie has planned next? Maybe she is a witch, as was posted at UD.

Mucho major blogs are now picking up on the Discovery Institutes's plagiarism of Harvard's "The Inner Life of a Cell" animation, as exposed to the world by Abbie Smith of ERV.

The Daily KOS has it. SlashDot's on it. Soon, maybe, more traditional news media may be on it, too. Abbie's getting her "15 minutes," and Creationism's getting its worst PR disaster, ever -- aside from Dover.

Woo-hoo!

Dembski? What's he got to do with us?

It includes numerous attempts to paint "Darwinists" as hypocritical, as discussed by Dr. Elsberry.

Dembski sounds scared, is my impression. Doctor Doctor Dembski will stop using that doctored doctored video and will go back to using the ID Creationist “Unlocking the Mystery of Life” crap instead.

DI wants to disavow Dembski's actions (while still referring to him as one of their "Senior Fellows"). Again, a strong note of panicked spin-doctoring, blaming those who reported the violation as being evilutionists. If a tree plagiarizes in a forest and there's no one there to report it, does it violate a copyright?

I've read that at least one other DI Fellow has been using the same doctored version of "The Inner Life of a Cell" for Creationist revival meetings, so it looks like there was some kind of organized effort to exploit this science education simulation for anti-science.

Maybe the legal repercussions of the violation will ultimately be minor, but this is another major black eye for the fakester "scientists," lawyers, Moonies, HIV-deniers, ultraconservative Catholics, Man-Made Global Warming deniers, and even Southern Baptists at DI. Dover, Behe's getting caught out as wrong in his new book on the subject of HIV receptor mutations (and as unprofessionally chauvinistic), now Dembski et al ripping off Harvard. (Nice touch that one female grad student was responsible for exposing the last two blunders.) Three strikes, and the strikes just keep on coming.

Just how batshit crazy will Dominionist billionaire Howard Ahmanson have to be to keep dumping millions down the DI cesspit?

It is clear that Hanlon's razor does not apply to the Disco Institute:

ERV - Discovery Institute, Dembski, Copyright, and 'Design of Life'
Dembski knew at the time of his presentation at OU (September 17, 2007) that he was NOT allowed to use Harvards animation, but he did it anyway and lied about it when he got caught.

The DI makes quite a mockery of their cries against the supposed suppression of their own freedom of expression. The flip side to their hypocrisy (after Dembski's ripoff) is that they are making a copyright claim to silence their critics. The DI is filled with lying hypocrites and assholes.
