Don't take this personal, but I believe you to be insane if you suggest that the government, on any level, should be able to administer medications of any kind to my kids, without me knowing about it first. This ain't Nazi Germany here, pal.

Do you demand the school nurse phone you to ask if it's ok to give your kid an aspirin if she has a headache? It's not like the nurse is forcing it on her when she asks for it first.
And I think you're a delusional git, so you thinking that I'm insane doesn't carry much weight.
Dave and Marf has already addressed the Public Health issue. It is a matter of public health. It's also a matter of protecting the teenagers from having stupid parents. Reasonable parents won't have a climate at home that makes their teen having to sneak about getting contraceptives, or a day-after pill.
Sweden is far more liberal than USA on this, so calling it Nazi Germany just proves you're fucked up beyond salvation. I'm really happy living in Sweden, and our system works so much better so I can't for my life think of a reason to move.

What the hell are you about? "any stretch of the means" usually means "not even close".
But in this case, it is pretty damn close. When properly used, you're 98+% safe from pregnacies. Probably higher.

Rape is one of the hardest crimes to convict for, particularly because most rapes are date rapes and it often boils down to his word verses her word.
