Just have a look at this shit.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

Do you mean that you think that these lighters (and the story behind them) were manufactured by Jews? If so, based upon what?

Based on the fact that all I see is a picture of a lighter and a claim with no real evidence to back it up and frankly the whole story smells because it is so goofy. I didn't see this story backed up or carried anywhere else. Until then I call it propaganda. If someone wants to claim it's true my answer would be" "Based on what?"

The AP reported it on Sept. 11, 2002. http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2002/09/11/1031608267952.html

Since it's based upon a report from the Israeli .gov, I'm just wondering if you are assuming that they (the Israeli .gov) are lying and made the whole thing up, including a fake lighter.

That is exactly what I am thinking. It didn't hit me like that immediately, but I went back, looked again and the whole thing seemed fishier and fishier. Not that the Israeli government would ever want the Palestinian Authority to look bad to Americans! But the workmanship made it look like an ordinary lighter with a plane and Osama added on. Then there are the other contents of the shipping crates. The whole thing just seemed too stupid to be real. I call it going Over The Top with the addition of the lighters. Guranteed to appeal to the hawkish types just looking for a new reason to hate Palestinians.

I'm not sure if the whole story is fake or not but the lighter strikes me as being a plant even if the rest is somehow true. I don't doubt that the Palestinians are smuggling weapons but as I said, the lighter is over the top.

I really don't even care if another news service or site picked it up. That's what stories like this are there for.

Not arguing with you here, but have you ever been to the Middle East...just about anything can be made if you want it and the workmanship is about, oh..90% crap! This is my experience, I'm not anything close to an authority, but I call 'em as I see 'em!
