I don't know Maverick, I signed up a long time ago. However, it wouldn't matter anyway, he has been banning many people who are evolutionists or atheists, and I don't think 1/2 of them were because of breaking the rules.

For now, he is allowing me to stay, but I refuse not to question Creationist's sources (which is one of the rules), so we'll see how long it lasts.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

I didn't have that problem when I signed up. Maybe you overlooked?

I laughed so hard when I read this that my housemate came over to look what was so funny. Proclaiming to be a skeptic, but not questioning your sources. lol

Starman, I'm not sure if you knew this and thats what you're refering to, but he is majoring in journalism.

I registered yesterday, and after reading my first thread, I'm not impressed either.
I get the impression they are using double standards, biased toward creationism. So much for skepticism.

How can one ever take their "debates" seriously when they include Kent Hotwind as a good source?

Can anyone connect to skeptictimes.com? I can't, it says failed to connect. I have a feeling it might just be temporarily down, but I'm still hoping for the best.

Wasn't it proved in laboratories that under the (alleged) conditions of primitive earth, carbohydrates that pertain to the DNA could be spontaneously formed? Then again... even if it wasn't. Where did God come from anyway?

Ah, but wasn't it found out the translation was wrong, and the hebraic text actually meant another place (can't translate name, sorry)?

Amino acids! Not carbohydrates. There's been a long, long time since I left the schoolbooks behind, heh. Thank you Dave! :)

How can anyone be a *true* skeptic?
Can I still become a true skeptic if I am skeptic about true skeptics?

That's it! Eric solved the enigma. It's skeptic about skeptics, and reversing to Fundies, Inc.
