Okay, I'm gonna throw the windows in here for a moment. The retro beetle stinks, especially in that color. Come on guys, it's just ugly. And it's got it's motor in the front in stead of in the rear. I mean, if you're going to make a retro car, at least retain the cool specs. And then the awful curvature. Same by the way for the new retro minis, which are also ugly (and much too large on top of that).

No, I'm gonna get myself a Donkervoort when I have the money for it.

Just because you and a handful of other people are annoyed at the JREF over money and your vague implications of impropriety doesn't mean that they don't provide good information about skepticism, critical thought, and science.

Here is another quote, from a SFN member, about this topic.
He is piss off that the JREF don't link SFN.

Is KIL a SFN administrator who can give official warnings to the members ?

Kil was not pissed off at the JREF for not linking.

And yes, he is an administrator his warning was well thought out and posted. As a SFN moderator, I fully agree with his warning. You've been given plenty of leeway.

No, Kil doesn't agree with you, as one of our moderators, Valinat Dancer, already told you. Kil isn't angry that the JREF doesn't link to the SFN.

And I'm not "happy" that the JREF doesn't link to us, I'm just not so naive and idealistic as to think that they should.

I think that when you say you like a car because it is, "round and cute," it becomes pretty obvious you aren't much into cars.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

How about this one. It's got nice curves.

(Just promoting dutch car industry here, the thread really hasn't got more worth than that).

Hey, I'm a girl
Nah, not really. I prefer things like airplanes and helicopters... alas, if only my vision and bones were somewhat decent (or I had a shitload of money)! I'd gladly join the Air Force.

Btw Tom, those are very fine cars. Love the curves. You changed my mind

Then Valiant Dancer and you are speaking in name of KIL?

Kil is the one who should put why he wrote this and if he was acting naive as Dave.
"We are SFN, not the JREF. Hell, they don't even link to us!"

Hmmmmm,I don't think so.
He was pissed off the JREF don't even link to us.
Anyway let's wait what he has to argument.

You have poor reading comprehension skills, don't you latinijral. Kil's point wasn't that he's mad about our not being linked on JREF. It was that we aren't JREF. And as proof (as though we needed it), he noted that the two groups-- JREF and SFN-- are so distinct that one doesn't even link to the other.

But I'm sure Kil will clear this up and you'll be left (again) with nothing new to argue about.

"Hell, they don't even link to us!" clearly does not indicate anger. It indicates that SFN is not a very big organisation, and that it is questionable that JREF even knows SFN exists. At least, that's what I get from that. How you come to the conclusion that Kil was angry is beyond me.

Furthermore, knowing that Valiant Dancer and Dave W. are both administrators on this site, and go way further back with Kil than you, I'd say it is a safe bet that their comment on this is more accurate than yours.

We are interpreting things he has posted on these fora where he clearly has indicated that he is not angry that JREF doesn't link to us. Kil could respond and put an end to your objection on this matter. I don't believe that we are wrong in this matter.

The context of the passage quoted from Kil does not support your assertation that he is pissed off. It clearly indicates that this board is not owned, operated, or even associated remotely professionally with JREF. Your dodge of his original question of "what do you want us to do about this" remains as you yet again grab onto an unrelated assertation in order to distract away from your dodge.

Context, it's not just a good idea, it's often the way to meaning.
