Yeah And I also suppose this looks like an animal also? And this must be fake because it looks like a person. And the moon must me fake because I see a face and a rabbit. THIS IS ABSOLUTE EVIDENCE YOU CAN'T CONFUTE WE HAVE NOT GONE TO THE MOON BECAUSE THERE IS NO MOON! (Once again see how annoying this is) |

Still on about those silly pictures, eh? bb, are these all you have? Just a few pics with some lines added to some of them and rhetoric? Nothing else? ---------------------------------------------------------------------
"Are these all you have?"
No, I've said many other things.
Don't you remember?
Look at this:

Instead of steering Cassini through the last path at 100,000 miles per hour, NASA's buffoons would have steered Cassini through that ridiculous spiral to increase velocity of the probe at max of 59,250 miles per hour.
Dear Filthy, answer with your head.
BUT THE EARTH RUNS ALREADY AT 65,000 MILES PER HOUR.
Respond, you, please.
sts60 with his calculations can only confuse your head
BUT THE TRUTH IS SIMPLEST: NASA'S BUFFOONS HAVE NOT TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT EARTH VELOCITY: 65,000 MILES PER HOUR.
What do you think about? I'd like to read YOUR opinion.

I don't know enough about the science to venture a personal opinion, but I've read that this is called a 'gravity sling.' It seems to work. Quite a few probes have been sent out using it.
Would you care to take that claim to court and argue it against against the scientists who developed the method? No, and I wouldn't either....
At this point, I must go with sts60 & his calculations until an error in them is accuratly demonsrtated.

Heh, and how bout this:

That's from the 1976 Viking expedition. The next is from April 2001:

Of course, if we've never made it to Mars, these must be hoked up in a NASA darkroom -- try telling that to the dingbats who claim the Face on Mars was built by an alien civilization.
You may congratulate me. I've finally learned how tp post an image. It's ridiculously simple, once you get the hang of it; like NASA has got the hang of inter-solar system flying.

YOU ARE A BIGGEST LIAR
I told you: ”Then show the others, please”
You have shown these picture:

here's a later LM trainer.

A better picture of the same

(edited to add more pictures)
LM training in Earth orbit.

----------------------------------------------------------------
I told you:
"YOU HAVEN'T ANSWERED
The first and the last image show LM used to go to the Moon.
The other ones show the same strange collage of a helicopter cockpit with a lattice.
I'D LIKE TO SEE THAT RIDICULOUS OLD CROCK IN FLIGHT".
YOU ARE A BIGGEST LIAR
The LM shown was not used to go to the moon. It was showing a training flight in earth orbit. Until such time as you can acknowledge that, you will continue to lie about the moon landings.
As for the velocity question, we have already told you why it was done that way. To conserve fuel. Since you ardently deny it, it was up to you in one of the questions posted to you to show the correct fuel requirements to go to Saturn. In other postings it was shown that NASA scientists in fact did take into account the movement of the earth. Yet you continue to lie about that. So who is the liar here? |

I don't know enough about the science to venture a personal opinion, but I've read that this is called a 'gravity sling.' It seems to work. Quite a few probes have been sent out using it.
"Gravity Assist Maneuver" is the formal name.
Mission planners typically start by planning a variation of the Hohmann transfer orbit (basically the lowest-energy way to change the orbit of a spacecraft), because faster trajectories require considerably more energy = much bigger booster = more $$$. The planners, of course, know that the spacecraft shares Earth's orbital velocity, and it's a matter of decreasing the orbital speed to go in (towards Venus, Mercury, or the Sun) or increasing it to go out (towards Mars, Jupiter, and, as Buzz Lightyear would say, to infinity and beyond). What happens in either case is that one extreme point of the orbit stays at Earth's distance, but the other point (perihelion or aphelion, respectively) changes.
Going to Mars this way is basically a matter of waiting for the appropriate geometry, speeding up ahead of the Earth (i.e., add to the speed already imparted by the Earth's orbit and rotation), and the outermost extent of your orbit will match the orbit of Mars. To go to Venus, point the other direction in your escape burn so that you are canceling out some of the speed the Earth gave you, and the inner part of your orbit will be at the same distance from the Sun as Venus. Once you get to your destination, a little maneuvering is necessary to be captured by the target. (In the case of Apollo, the option existed to not do this maneuver at the Moon, but rather complete the "Free Return" to Earth - this is what they did with Apollo 13.)
You can do the same thing for any planet. But some smart folks figured out that you can steal a tiny smidgen of orbital momentum from a planet if you go by it correctly, and that translates to a big kick in velocity (speed and direction, to varying extents) relative to the Sun. Thus, it's actually much cheaper in terms of energy to go around Venus, Venus again, and Earth to get the change in velocity you need to get to Saturn, than it is to go there directly. This particular trajectory is known as VVEGA (Venus-Venus-Earth Gravity Assist) and was used for Cassini. Another variant, VEEGA, was used for Galileo. The variations are endless, but they all start by considering the Earth's velocity about the Sun as well as the targets, and then look at what gravity-assist options may be available in the proposed mission time frames. |

You are wrong. You must say:
"I don't know enough about THESE CRAPS to venture a personal opinion"

YOU MUST UNDERSTAND ONE THING:
NOT EVEN GOD, IF HE EXISTED, COULD KEEP IN HOVERING THAT OLD CROCK

BUT, WHAT AM I SEEING?
Is that the sun?
NO, IT'S A SPOT LIGHT
