Not going to be able to play Urban Dead for a while? Manufacture a syringe:

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

I've done that also...
I was expcting the game would refuse, stating I didn't have enough Acrion Points.
But then I remember the all-nighters I've made at the computer when I went way past exhaustion, going on adrenaline only as time flies by. Once you're finished you realize that you've spent way more hours than intended, and need to spend some extra time recouperating.
It just adds all the more realism to the game I think.

Every time I've spent 50 AP at the NecroTech building searching, I've managed to find at least 3 syringes. So spending 20 AP on manufacturing one seems not an efficient way to acumulate them.
Reading books also seems to be a waste. While XP do increase every now and then, whacking zeds is a better use of AP.

Okay, with my previously-zed character, I just went out with 13 shotguns and 12 pistols, all fully loaded. I racked up 21 hits with the shotguns, and 50 hits with the pistols, for an overall hit rate of 72.4%. The 80.8% hit rate just with the shotguns was mighty impressive. (By the way, with 10 kills, total XPs collected: 559).

Balancing that out, my other character, the one with whom I was collecting nothing but pistols for a 300-shot baseline, searched a gun store 42 times tonight before finding a pistol. That was annoying, so I'm going to let him go romping while one pistol shy, figuring I'll find a spare AP at some point over the next six days with which to reload one of the 24 he's got with the single pistol clip he's carrying.

Another by the way, these characters of mine have gone with 25 full weapons (two "items" each), plus a flak jacket and a FAK. That totals 52 in my book, or one more than the 51-item limit written in the Wiki.

I've been getting "cannot find server" for the last 3 hours for UD, and I'm starting to twitch from withdrawal...

I don't know what I was thinking before. 25 times 6 is 150, not 300.

Anyway, out of 150 pistol attacks, 95 were successful, so my hit rate was only 63.333%. Five misses in a row really bites.

Only 28 of the hits were against zeds without flak jackets, so I missed out on 67 XPs from those damn things. But, including the nine kills, I managed to rack up 498 XPs, or 3.32 XP per attack, anyway.

One of my characters managed to get killed in the police station next to the mall at Gulsonside (South East Malton) I got revived pretty quick though, so I'm not worse for wear.

My guy now has 2112 XP, but I still need to die and buy some zombie skills. I've been close a few times, but no one's taken me down yet.

Geez, H. to go a revive point, and announce that you've lost the will to live.

The seige at Caiger is starting to look like a real siege. Most of the ferrals are sitting outside the library (about 800) just south of the mall, while the Mall Tour '06 has 5 attack groups, each which work together.

I'm finding that being a zed is much more fun than a survivor. It actually means something when you make a kill. That guy can't just stand back up again.

This was posted in the Mall Tour thread on the Urban Dead forums:

Now both my characters are killed, and milling about in Gulsonside.
Strangely how no one seem to understand that "Mrrh?" mean, "Can you revive me please?"
The standard revive point at Club Barling is infested with Zombies brain-rot.

A feature I would like to see is some way to attack specific zombies for whatever purpose.

I spent three revive-syringes on the same Brain-Rot Zombie because I couldn't target the non-brain-rot one...

If I use the DNA-extractor, I get a report on the status of the Zed I extracted, then I should also be able to recognize it from the rest, and target it with a syringe, or the shotgun depending.
When targetting with shotgun, example:
Zombie of Trilliadin
Zombie of John Messerschmitt
Zombie with brain rot
Zombie with brain rot
Zombie
the barricades

Zombies that have been recently scanned wouldn't have to register in that list, since the scan wouldn't reveal anything.

I like that idea. Another thing I think should be implemented is that reading a book in a building with power should greatly increase your chance of getting xp.
