Looks like Palin did ok. Very short on substance and lacking details, but when did that ever matter to Joe six pack and hockey moms. Very well scripted and focus to stay on script even to the point of answering her own questions.

Palin did better than expected (that is not saying much), Biden won the debate.

That's really funny. The polls already say Biden won. What are you watching, Faux News?

Palin didn't have a meltdown. That's the best you can say. She did okay but Biden trounced her on issues.

What debate were you watching?

Caleb you obviously have a jones for Palin and the republican ticket. Short of attacking the democratic ticket can you identify anything of substance that she said that would significantly differentiate their policies from the policies of the Bush administration? Can you list any details of any policy that she discussed of the McPalin ticket?

I suspect that the fact that she was still standing after an 90 minutes made her the winner hands down in your eyes. I say she stay on message and came across as well rehearsed. Clearly showing that she has a good memory. The lessons of history she tell us that we shouldn't vote for someone just because they came across as folksy.

I think that the horrible interviews she's done really set her up nicely. She obviously thrives in this live audience setting, where the questioner can't follow up on the obvious lies.

She still bumbled through, dodged real questions, and looked as folksy as possible. But ultimately, I think it helped her and McCain some. How much is unclear. We'll see in the next few days.

Really, the bar was set so low for her all she had to do is is not look idiotic. She passed. Now all she needs to do is stay away from the press...

I haven't heard a single republican spin this as a win for Palin. Some were impressed that she didn't bobble it, which helps McCain because it doesn't hurt him. That's all he got.

The question is clear. Your answer is bullshit. Try again this time with substance and details.

If Palin beat expectations, then that must mean nobody expected her to do anything but stand there and drool. The CNN poll has it 70 to 26, for Biden.

I thought McCain had stood up pretty well in his first debate, despite marginally losing it. Turns out he more than marginally lost it, per public opinion.

This time, I think Biden trounced Palin.

Palin spoke very fast, and ramblingly. Strange combinations of "folksy" words thrown out, often patronizingly, like "Joe Six-Pack." Repeated religious phrases. Wild, crazy eyes. Total and repeated evasion of matters (such as McCain's support for the very kind of deregulation that led to the mortgage meltdown). She sounded not only like a hick, which is no shame, but like one who has no idea what has been going on in the world beyond the next hill and holler.

I can't see how anyone would vote for that ticket, after seeing this crazy fundy and jumped-up beauty pageant contestant facing a real statesman like Biden.

Yeah, I always thought "Joe Six-Pack" was a derogatory term. When she said it the first time, I couldn't believe it.

I found it hi-larious that she stumbled around when trying to answer the global warming question.

I think teachers everywhere are happy to know that they are a bunch of greedy pigs for wanting more money now when their reward is waiting for them in heaven.

But heck yes, she "won" the debate, gosh durnit, because she didn't fart on stage. MAVERICK.

Anything I may or may not have done is utterly irrelevant to the truth value of your assertion that in the VP debate last night, Sarah Palin "exposed Obama as a fraud." Perhaps I went to the bathroom and forgot to pause the TV, and so I missed it. There are lots of reasons why I might agree or disagree with your assertion or simply be ignorant of the truth of it, but they're all irrelevant to the question I asked, because the question isn't about my knowledge or opinions, it's about your claim of fact. You volunteered it, will you defend it as true?
