For all you backyard astronomers, well, actually for everyone...

...note the pale blue dot to the upper left of Saturn's inner rings...that's us -- planet Earth.
Top link is an sun backlit mosaic image of Saturn taken by the Cassini satellite. It's quite spectacular, to say the least.

Course, this brings to mind Carl Sagan's "Reflections on a mote of dust"...

http://obs.nineplanets.org/psc/pbd.html

"We are all connected; to each other biologically, to the earth chemically, to the rest of the universe atomically."

"So you're made of detritus [from exploded stars]. Get over it. Or better yet, celebrate it. After all, what nobler thought can one cherish than that the universe lives within us all?"
-Neil DeGrasse Tyson

I can see my house from here!

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
Carl Sagan - 1996
