Probably should'a put this in humor; indeed, I would have except that Bro. Cletus seems to be serious, with just a bit of dementia adding spice to his rant.
Hello Concerned Christians. Our organization is revealing the evil faces behind our children's beloved CARTOONS. Often as parents, we trust that our children are being exposed to innocent programming when it comes in the form or animation- DON'T BE FOOLED. There are many examples of the evil one at work on our TV's. Join our organization in the Crusade against cartoons that compromise our society's moral fiber.

I thought Dora's pet was a talking monkey?

But, seriously, it HAS to be a parody.
I mean:
It is by no mere coincidence that Hello Kitty herself resembles the cat-headed Sekhmet, the Egyptian sun goddess of destruction! There are also strong resemblances between Hello Kitty and the Lower Nile love goddess Bast.

Why have the pornographers at Cartoon Network then chosen to combine the term
“adult” with the word “swim?”
The reason is plainly obvious. By this combination of words, Cartoon Network is likening its block of nightly programming to the Turkish bath or Roman orgy of old or the modern day gay bathhouse of San
Francisco. It is a place where men take unto men, women take unto women and outrageous acts of adultery, sodomy and bestiality are engaged in with no regard for the WORD OF GOD and Cartoon Network is putting all of this into a form with mass appeal to our children.

It must be parody! It can't be anything but parody! Please, FGSM, let it be parody! My faith in mankind would never survive this man truly being serious.

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

Dora's companion IS a monkey going by the name "Boots" (I'm sad, I know).

I'd also bet a toy from a Happy Meal(tm) that the site is a parody.

Bro. Cletus might well be spoofing us; it's hard to tell. But I remind that various & sundry preachers, deacons, laymen, bishops & popes & their various lackeys, pundits, monks, rapture-revelators, intelligent designers, imams & ayatollahs & their various lackeys, salivation armyists, young-earth-creationers, old-earth-creationers, scienctomolologers, the witless of jehovah (see BigPapa's link), and many others have whined incessantly about cartoons since, probably, the genesis of art. Indeed, one can picture some bone-head of a Cro Magnon fellow bitching piteously about the position of a bull bison painted on the wall of a French cave -- it's relationship to a man's hand-print could be suggestive of bestiality!

Except Jack Chick. He gets a pass and we all hope he'll produce a TV show soon.

If a spoof, I tips my hat to Bro. Cletus. It's a dandy one.

What I definitly know isn't a spoof is CAP ALERT.

"ChildCare Action Project: Christian Analysis of American Culture (CAP)"

They do reviews of movies from a good-for-the-children perspective.
They brag about having about 1200 reviews on file.

When you follow the link above, be sure to check out the links under "Attention Please". It will give you the background of the WISDOM-score and rating system.
I must say they have really put a lot of work into this and I wouldn't want you to go blundering into a review without appreciating the effort behind it.

That being said, it was their review of Scary Movie that convinced me that I just had to see it.

He doesn't even friggin research anything either.

Sekmet was the Goddess of revenge and love. Odd how those go together.

Bastet was a minor goddess.

But we are talking about Hello Kitty which, BTW, looks nothing like Bastet.

Dora had lots of talking critters. Boots the monkey. Tico the rat type thing.

And I bet he's talking about that Pokemon shit, too.

If you repeat it often enough; it might ends up becoming true!
It is funny though how they do not even want to admit that there is even another hypothesis (well, two, not all Evolution deniers are Young Earth creationists) around...

A whois check shows the domain is registered to Brendan Burch:

Domain name: christiansagainstcartoons.com
Registrant Contact:
Brendan Burch ()
Fax:
1245 N Vine St

Los Angeles CA
US

And a Google of the name turns up some interesting links, like this interview, which may or may not be the same guy, but....

http://coldhardflash.com/2005/04/burch-unbuckled-part-1.html

...he's one of the "chiefs" of Six Point Harness animation studios which has a phone number very very close to the registrant phone number listed in the whois info.

The address of the registration - 1245 N Vine St LA - is the address of an apartment building called The Villa Elaine, which is mentioned in the Burch interview.

Therefore...

Wonderful work tw!

As for the site itself, when your parody is so close that people are not sure it is parody, you are half-assing your job...
