Kind'a looks like Disney's, doesn't? I rather enjoyed this part: the old bar code bleat.
He does make one good point, though. Virtually all repressive regimes started out trumpeting some variation of "Public Safety." Hitler did it, Stalin did it, and Bush was working on it.

Reading about the hellish barcode:
"Contained within these UPC symbols are 3 UNIDENTIFIABLE marks which have no apparent or visible numerical assignment!"
Those are the timing markers. It gives the barcode reader a reference, so it knows when/where to expect the next part of the barcode, and where the barcode message ends.
Laser beam fires up, "message start" - "UPC numbers part" - "message ends".
I could explain in more detail how it works, for those who are digitally challenged, but I how y'all got it the first time around.

The 6's are guard bars and help the decoder recognize the symbology, UPC-A in this case.

That's probably the "Waltograph" font. It's a free font made in imitation of Disney's handwriting. I've used it, too.

But the #6 guard bars haven't been used in decades. Everything is now a barcode standard that doesn't use 6's. |
