Old Nosty again. But he was a bit more than a grifter of royalty with astrological charts and a gift for cold reading. His work with plague victims was downright heroic, the state of the medical arts in the day being what they were. He lost his family to that disease, and that might have made him just a bit crackers. His Centuries show some evidence of that. Gibberish in, gibberish out, eh?
If I remember my reading, the Church was on his case as well, speaking of crackers.
But he was not a "seer." He ended up simply another fortune-teller, a bit better off than most in that he specialized in the fortunes of the wealthy. His retirement was quite comfortable. But his famous writings remain gibberish to all but those whackos who translate them to suit whatever lunacy they embrace.
