10 Questions to Ask a Creationist
  1. Do you really believe that crap, or do you simply think spouting such nonsense will fool God into thinking you are a loyal sheep?

  2. Do you have any idea how stupid/brainwashed/fanatical you appear when you insist that the Biblical book of Genesis trumps the best of modern science?

  3. No, seriously, do you? Because you sure sound like either a zealot or a dumb-ass to me. Or maybe both.

  4. Does it bother you at all that the people from whom you get your talking points are obviously liars and/or deluded?

  5. Do you understand the well-known scholarly virtue of not taking quotes out of context? Because much of the Creationist argument consists of such "quote mining," which is indistinguishable from lying.

  6. I mean, what part of "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor" do you not comprehend?

  7. Why do you hate science and rationality so much?

  8. Do you understand that the Big Bang, abiogenesis, and biological evolution are separate fields of study?

  9. Then could you please spend a hour or so looking up those concepts in Wikipedia?

  10. Well, if you won't do even that, why should anyone pay the least attention to your blitherings of pig-headed and willful ignorance?

Yeah! I also wonder, "Why do you want your children to be as ignorant as you are?" And, "Why do you want my children to be as ignorant as yours?"

But I guess since fear is such a powerful motivator we already know the answer. Eternal damnation. Can't afford to take that risk.

Life is good

Those are damn good questions, and I wish they'd occurred to me. Then, there are probably hundreds of good questions that should be asked of any Creationist.

Life is good. So good it should not be willingly wasted, I contend. I say the best question might be one not asked, leaving the time saved for more fruitful pursuits. It's not like a fool(ed) can be what there not. SS

There are only two types of religious people, the deceivers and the deceived. SS
