Uhmf...that was a predictable ignorant response from you.
Cantbe, your statement above is a great big flag-waving of science ineptitude.

Here, have a quick gander at this to bring you a wee bit up to speed....

I calls em like I sees em, and there's nothing to see in theory, just assumptions. True, some theories lead to physical realization, but only if a design engineer understands what the theorist is talking about.

cantbe, both Randy and I have explained what a scientific theory means. The only reason that they are called "theories" is because science always leaves the door open for new information. Beyond that, they are facts.

Gravity is a theory; one that's easy enough to test.

You keep saying that you want to debate but thus far, you've done nothing but pass gas and suck wind for no less than 154 posts. When are you going to actually post something arguable rather than unfounded and hence questionable opinion??

Let me guess, you're someone who has never understood the concept of knowledge for the sake of knowledge.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

You're quite religious with that mantra, aren't you? It protects you from ever having to explain anything.

"Concept of knowledge" sounds suspiciously like anti-skepticism. Careful now, you don't want to confuse your avowed purpose.

"VITAL spark of heav'nly flame!
Quit, O quit this mortal frame:
Trembling, hoping, ling'ring, flying,
O the pain, the bliss of dying!
Cease, fond Nature, cease thy strife,
And let me languish into life.

Hark! they whisper; angels say,
Sister Spirit, come away!
What is this absorbs me quite?
Steals my senses, shuts my sight,
Drowns my spirit, draws my breath?
Tell me, my soul, can this be death?

The world recedes; it disappears!
Heav'n opens my eyes! my ears
With sounds seraphic ring!
Lend, lend your wings! I mount! I fly!
O Grave! where is thy victory?
O Death! where is thy sting? "
~~ Alexander Pope

Pope really didn't have to worry or fret. The end comes quite easily. When death is eminent and you know it, there is no fear, only quiet resignation. Fear comes when you're not sure... maybe it won't happen, there's still hope.

Dad was a sapper on Hoover damn, saw a half dozen men fall to their deaths, and not one cry or whimper.

Correct me if I am wrong, but a "sapper" is a military engineer and the Hoover Dam, formerly the Boulder Dam, was a civilian project.

Again, I call bullshit!
