Here’s something Kevin Trudeau wants you to know: he’s contemptible

In today’s skepticblog, Phil Plait fills us in on Kevin Trudeau’s latest antics and plight. Looks like he’s finally getting his comeuppance…

… Well, he’s at it again. He just doesn’t think that his reputation can get any lower, despite being able to comfortably limbo underneath a mosquito’s belly with room to spare. Trudeau recently urged his minions to send protesting emails and text messages to federal judge Robert Gettleman — the hero who raised a fine against Trudeau from $5 million to $37 million, to better match the money Trudeau defrauded out of people for his books. Gettleman is currently working on potentially revising his order after an appellate court found his ruling too broad.

I can’t imagine Trudeau’s actions will help his case any.

And, oddly enough, Gettleman doesn’t think so either. Especially since some of the notes were threatening. Seriously folks, how stupid must you be to send threatening emails to a frakking federal judge?

That was last week's post, Kil. Today's post is "Trudeau’s going to jail. Schadenfreudelicious."

Kevin Trudeau got 30 days in jail for contempt of court.

Well, it was today's skepticblog. But hey, very cool. I do wish he had gotten more time, however...

Plus maybe a dunk or two in a vat of boiling oil.

Well, it was just contempt of court. He still owes $37 million for fraud.

Trudeau is currently working on his next book "Financial Scams WE Don't Want You To Know About".

Chicago.....somehow, it makes sense, especially with that lovely photo in the article.

I noted an interesting fact at the end of the article:

Gettleman has now found Trudeau in contempt of court three times. He called him "undeterrable."

"I can count the number of people I've held in contempt on one hand and three of those fingers have Kevin Trudeau's name on them," said Gettleman.

And he's been sent back to jail. Contempt again.
"Mr. Trudeau, this is not an infomercial," [Judge] Gettleman said. "You can’t talk your way out of this one."

I think he might be in real trouble now. The judge is tired of his bullshit.

Poor guy just can't help himself. Trudeau clearly is addicted to lying and his extravant life-style. Which doesn't help him hide his overseas accounts at a time he's claiming to be a hungry bankrupt. Oh, yes, at last.

This saga is going to be a gift that just keeps on giving.

This is Chicago. I expect him to be "accidentally released" soon. We've had three this year. Two in the last 3 months. The first guy was a possession charge that was dropped while he was serving in Indiana for murder.

He's out, and he may stay out longer than the prosecution wants because of the shutdown.

He's got to be laughing at all this and just might have to go buy more booze and cigars. Does anyone think if he was not white he'd be out of jail, being in contempt of court and all?
