Perhaps it was suicide. Some God killed Jesus with a bolt of lightning and burnt his ass up. First reports haveZeus as the evil doer but I'm not convinced. It could after all be any of these Tlaloc, Perk#363;nas, Hades, Ares, and Poseidon. Then the Mayans have Chac or Chaac. Maybe Jesus was messing around with a woman like the Roman Goddess of lightning Fulgora, you wouldn't want to mess with her. I don't think it was any of the Hindu Gods, being so much older and wiser, they don't bother with any Johnny come lately. To bad about the statue though, I'm all broken up. SS

Based on historic accounts of the Greek poets, Zeus would have done it if it involved impressing a mortal woman who lives nearby. Zeus has always dug Earth chicks.
