it is not that the meter went off Dr.mabuse but that the meter was taken out of my purse and put on the counter while we were all outside. that was my issue. Fabric in my purse leather.. temerature outside about 75.

Intelligence propelled hauntings seem to react to current events and situations. What does this mean... Like poltergeist activity/ before Valiant i did not think you answered me on your thoughts on ghost so forget my question in a recent post. Why do you beleive in ghosts? Experience? harry price came into scrutiny for the borley Rectory..Hanz Holtzer great book by him.. but still under the impression ghosts are sould of the dead.

The issue you are going to have here is that your initial premise has no empirical evidence to support it. Namely that a "soul" exists in the first place.

Hanz Holtzer and Harry Price both had numerous books on the subject.

What an intelligent propelled haunting means is that the "spirit" will do things that react to changes in the environment (walk around people, close open doors, etc).

What I have seen/experienced is not empirical in nature nor is it scientific.

I have witnessed a full body apparition, had several sensory experiences which I cannot explain nor was I paying particular attention to the phenomenon at the time. I have smelled baking bread and pies when no cooking was going on and no neighbor was within a quarter mile. I have heard footsteps where there were no people around. I have called out "spirits" in an area whose existance was reported to stop playing pranks with near immediate results.

While I believe these things, I also recognize that there is no empirical evidence to explain them directly or rule out natural phenomenon.

If you were outside, how could you take any readings? Is the EMF-meter automated?

The inside of it too? Then it's not that likely that the meter's own electrostatic field set it off.
But the kitchen is full of electrical appliances and practically all of them generate EMFs. Not only transformers in them, but even modern equipment with DC-DC converters inside (however, they operate at higher frequencies than the 60Hz you get from a socket).

I had two meters that day one was black the other tan. When i was sitting on the couch with the newspaper we were getting ready to go outside..i said to the reporter I am going to use this one.. the black one and I put the other in my bag. We went outside where the people who owned the house were saying they had seen some full apparitions.. when we came back in the kitchen door there was my meter on the kitchen table.
