A man dressed in a military-style “Ghillie suit” who was attempting to provoke a Bigfoot sighting was struck by two vehicles and killed on U.S. 93 South of Kalispell Sunday night.

“He was trying to make people think he was Sasquatch so people would call in a Sasquatch sighting,” Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Jim Schneider said. “You can’t make it up. I haven’t seen or heard of anything like this before. Obviously, his suit made it difficult for people to see him.”

The History Channel is to blame here...or maybe just the T. H. C. part anyway.

"...things I have neither seen nor experienced nor heard tell of from anybody else; things, what is more, that do not in fact exist and could not ever exist at all. So my readers must not believe a word I say." -Lucian on his book True History

"...They accept such things on faith alone, without any evidence. So if a fraudulent and cunning person who knows how to take advantage of a situation comes among them, he can make himself rich in a short time." -Lucian critical of early Christians c.166 AD From his book, De Morte Peregrini

Could be that Somers' girls actually hunt Sasquatch in cars.

This is what a Ghillie Suit looks like. I didn't know so I looked it up. There are several kinds for different camouflage needs. There are military Ghillie suits as well as hunter suits and even paintball suits. It's pretty easy to see how this might be the suit of choice for a Bigfoot hoaxer.

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Why not question something for a change?

First thought that crossed my mind was whether wearing such a suit would restrict mobility. Looks like mobility is not a big concern for hunters.
