That both Voyagers are expected to be operating and delivering scientific data until 2020 was news to me, I wasn't aware they were still transmitting.

Does anyone know exactly what data they are sending?

Edited to say: Dammit! At least I gave you clear, 8-bit codes. I still haven't figured out how many bits-per-symbol you're using, Ricky. I thought five, at first, but couldn't get any 5-bit decoding showing squat. Then, perhaps 9 or 3, but diddly either way.

Well, I used the first bit in a sort of way you would when doing even or odd parody. I use 7 bits of actual information, the first bit just tells you how you're supposed to decode that information. If that doesn't help enough, maybe this spoiler will:

Every digit in my code stands for one binary digit. There is a very simple function you can use, obviously the function isn't one to one.

And here is a spoiler for the "parody" bit, if you're still not understanding that part:

The parody bit just makes all binary 0's become 1's, and vice-versa.

To be fair though, you inspired me to do this. I spent an hour trying to figure out what the 1 and 3 meant at the beginning of all your bytes in your previous post (since they almost all begin with 1 or 3). I thought that this is how you would be using them.
