Even though I live on the Gulf Coast, I would not be affected at all - even with a 14m rise(Mobile, AL). So bring it on!

I've figured out the solution!

We need to outlaw diets and exercise.

Fat is mostly carbon by weight. If every man, woman and child on the planet were to gain ten pounds a year, we would collectively sequester over 25 million tons of carbon, each year. It'll add up over time. And just think: the rising death rate from obesity would, ten or twenty years down the line, lower the global demand for power, so there'd be less carbon to sequester! Two birds with one stone.

And then we'd make sure to bury everyone deep beneath the bottom of the ocean to permanently lock away the carbon.

Depends on what everyone eats to gain the weight - we wouldn't want to release more methane into the atmosphere...

Hmmm. I'm not so sure about this.

Says I'm OK till about 10 meters. My house is at around 5-6 meters in elevation, so I don't understand it surviving a 10 meter rise. I'm near New Orleans north of Lake Pontchartrain and not far from the lake. (I went to topozone.com to check my elevation.)

i just thought of something, what if we could get everyone in coastal areas to blow on the sea, as if it were soup?

What are you looking at? Haven't you ever seen a pink shirt before?
