I declare, when they're not lying, they're whining. It'd be funny if it weren't so mangy-dog pathetic.
We are engaged in a war of worldviews. Secular humanism (with its evolutionary and millions-of-years foundation) is fighting tooth-and-nail against biblical Christianity (and the idea that God is the Creator) for the hearts and minds of our children. Over the past generations, we've seen the battle increase and intensify.

There's no doubt America was founded on Christian principles based on the Bible. In fact, just two generations ago, the majority of Americans supported prayer, Scripture readings, and Bible instruction in public schools. They also supported displaying nativity scenes, crosses, and the Ten Commandments in public places. Gay marriage and abortion were outlawed.

Today, however, it is very obvious that the population as a whole does not see the Bible as the absolute authority as it once did. For instance, pollster George Barna found that in the US “a minority of born again adults (44%) and an even smaller proportion of born again teenagers (9%) are certain of the existence of absolute moral truth.”1
And-don't-forget-to-buy-the-book!

In the past, AiG has stated that they aren't trying to get creationism into public schools. They are above such things and instead, would spend their energy broadcasting the "truth" to all.

I guess it's all a matter of circumstance as to which side of the forked tongue they speak with. I think that, given the opportunity, they would have all of our schools taught by fundie preachers, with the Bible as a science text.

Sorry, Carl & Ken but I ain't buyin' the book. It will tell me nothing that isn't cheap apologetics, distortions of the work of others, and outright lies. Kinda like that long-touted, creation museum, now that I think about it....

What a lovely cartoon you've discovered! Except for the red ballons and the "truth", I think it is fairly accurate, and we all know us Humanists loves to be Pirates!

What's great about the balloons is the hypocrisy. For instance, they have over the "humanist" camp a balloon reading "family break-up" and yet it's been well-documented that divorce rates among conservative Christians are much higher than those of other religious groups or even secularists! And as for the racism balloon-- Christians aren't racist (*cough* Bob Jones *cough*). 'Nuff said.

I assume the Christian firing at the flag is probably a gay Episcopal priest, and the one firing at "Creation" are the legions of Christians that actually possess the intellectual capacity to accept science and believe in their religion at the same time.

Funny, the Christian that is asleep at the top is the only minority in the castle.

And the one that managed to pop a balloon, I wonder which balloon was popped?

And we notice that the Humanists foundation is sand, while the Christian is rock, yet the sand seems to be doing just fine. I thought that sand couldn't handle water...hmmmm...perhaps a "Freudian slip" by the artist expressing his/her true thoughts?

You're totally right, pleco! The message: it's the fault of minorities that Christianity is losing. Or at least, that there's racism: if he were awake, he could at least shoot at the humanist "racism" balloon! Slacker.

Hopefully the low-hanging, rotten-on-the-tree fruit that is eugenics.

Seriously, we all know it was the giant evolution balloon. After all, it's the reason all the other balloons exist.

I love the cartoon, aside from those slanderous balloons. It certainly does show the disarray of the Creationists, as when none of them can agree on classifying individual fossils as either purely human or purely ape.

The balloon that was shot down had the message, "Help, I am being held hostage by my Darwinist girlfriend!"

Evolution is man's word and Creation is God's word? What fools.

There's something funny in that cartoon. The humanists are shooting at the base and the castle is crumbling. The Christians are popping balloons and shooting at themselves. I wonder if they get the irony?

Well, we know the balloon did not say, "We've been attacked by the intelligent, educated segment of the culture." That one would have been flying over the other castle.
