Example 1): Danica McKellar, that girl from the "Wonder Years" show, which I never actually bothered to watch myself!

She's a written a math book.

There's an interview on Aetiology.

Example 2): Mayim Bialik, the "Blossom" girl has, or will have, a PhD in Neurology.

Why do I post this? Well, for the same reason I post anything here: I haven't a #*#@!! clue.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

That's so cool! A needed antidote to all the "news" coverage about the misadventures of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie, Britney Spears, etc.

See, females stars can be intelligent and sane! All the have to do is resist the urge to be blond.

To be fair: Here's a fascinating list that Blender has compiled of the "50 Craziest Pop Stars Ever." All colors of hair, and I think there are more males than females.

I always loved that show "Blossom". It was wholesome without being heavy handed. It was corny a lot of the time, but it had cute, ironic self-awareness of its own corniness that made it palatable. Plus the main character had a big nose and wore distinctly loud and unstylish clothing, which I found refreshing and could relate to as a teenager.

The "Wonder Years" rocked! I'm so glad the actor who played "Winnie" turned out to be cool. Her "passion for math" - fabulous!
