Well, I ask the question because it seems to me that the natural thing for people to do is use the bookmark/favorite feature built-in to their own browser, instead of the feature we have here.
That's what I've always done -- didn't know about the other. But not to worry; this old dawg will stay with the trick he knows best.

Edit: I would like to see a larger Quote font. If I want to post a long quotation, I use [i]""[i], as do others, for easier readability.

Not that we can't loose it, but after all of these years, I just now tried it. I can see its value if I actually use it, including not adding another bookmark to my crowded browser bookmark folders... Duh!

(Should I be admitting that I haven't used it before now?)

Just add another bookmark folder, Kil, called "Nifty SFN Threads" or something like that.

As I said, it's so underused that we could loose it. But I can see its value, which is none if we don't use it. Oh well...

Kil.....

I know it's niggling nonsense, but please change "loose" (usually an adjective, rarely a verb) to "lose" (almost always a transitive verb)

Loose - not rigidly fastened or securely attached

Lose - to lose, get lost, perish, destroy,

I'm sorry, it's just the English-lover in me!

But bngbuck, we're not rigidly fastened or securely attached to our bookmark function!

Yeah, you're right. God do I need my editors. There are words that I spell phonetically (I call it kilbonics) that spell checkers sometimes don't catch because they are proper spellings in another context.

This seems to be a family trait, as in we are missing the spelling gene. My brother, a writer of books and a professor of writing at UCSF suffers from the same affliction. And it's the simple words that get us. (Well, really, it's all words for me.) But honest, I try...

I wonder if that would work in chat?

It should, most voice recognition software can make use of regular input-fields for test input. It might require some tweaking though to include the smilies.

Edited to add: I ditched the last software I had myself, not because it wasn't working. But I had to leard to speak American and not English for it to recognise me correctly, so I guess it wasn't working... I couldn't find any "English" patch. Go figure.

filthy, just so I can see what you're seeing, (A) what browser are you using, and (B) if you open the "view" menu and click on "text size," what is it set to?
