So it appears that 10-20% of the missing mass, wasnt missing in the first place. Again I am not surprised that it was found not to be unknown exotic matter, or I should say, much lighter exotic matter.

I think you missed the thrust of the story, PBS. They were noting that the x-rays were coming not from something massive, but from light elements. And so the mass of the galaxy is less that we thought. At least, with respect to baryonic matter.
