Nope. You are wrong. Completely and utterly wrong. An married to a theory which you follow like a religion.

The picture is genuine.

Ah, I think I have the problem with your understanding. Vanishing points and horizens are used to make pitures realistic looking, but are an artifical construct to simiplify making things look like they are going away from you. In real life the real horizen is rarely flat or at eye level, and there can be many vanishing points depending on the objects and their orentation.

Photographs are of the complex real world, they are not going to follow the simiple rules of forced perspective.

YOU, ONLY YOU HAVE MANY PROBLEMS TO UNDERSTAND SIMPLEST THINGS.

Look at this picture carefully, try to understand, don't continue to say I'm wrong.

When only you have this opinion, who is really wrong?

Multiple time we have looked at your picture. Multiple times we have come to the same conclusion. The picture is real and your assertations are wrong.

BIGBRAIN, I looked at your 'proof' that the LM was faked, based on vanishing points and I was shocked to find that you apparently made a little mistake!!!!

The line on the right is not drawn exactly right... The line you have drawn is up on the back leg of the LM not on the intersection of the leg and pad like it is in the front. This error makes the vanishing point higher than it should be. Well I'll be damned, this error incorrectly supports your claim... Hmmmm

I know that this was a simple oversight on your part, you would never try to bullshit us.

As far as the line you drew on the left side I have no idea if it is lined-up correctly, the picture is way too dark. It looks like you just guessed where the line should be to make your point.

Did you realize that the lines you drew arc up instead of being straight. Both of them!! What are the chances of that coincidence happening?? The funny thing is that since they arc up it actually makes the vanishing point artificially higher. Oops, I'm sure that was another one of your innocent mistakes - it just happens to support your point. What luck!!

Finally, you do realize that if the LM is not level the vanishing point will NOT be at the horizon.
But since the moon landing was filmed on a sound stage I guess we can assume it was level. You really do crack me up BIGBRAIN.

I guess this proves you are not insane you are just dishonest.

If I knew then what I know now then I would know more now than I know.

One of the depressing things about HBs is how they will search endlessly for some photographic feature to trumpet as "anomalous" but remain utterly ignorant about how the real world works.

Here is a nice picture of level terrain, with no background elevation. As expected, the vanishing point is at the horizon:

Here we have terrain that is not so level in the background, and the bridge might have an elevation change as well. Of course, the vanishing point is not at the "horizon":

But now we have a phtotograph with vanishing points that don't even match!

Or, for that matter, three distinct vanishing points:

Or how about vanishing points both above and below the horizon?

As the saying goes, "Reality is not required to conform to the expectations of the ignorant." Especially when the ignorant are determined to remain so, and apparently impervious to education anyway.

Funny, the "three VP" image is still showing up with only two in my browser, though I uploaded the new version. Do you see three sets of lines (two red, one blue) in it? Maybe it's a cache thing.

I see three sets-- two red and one blue. Nice work, as usual, sts60!

I see all the lines. Well done.

Should be interesting to see how bigbrain reacts to these.

I'm expecting staunch denial and references to DaVinci of which he seems to hold himself and his countrymen equal to. Let's not forget a reposting of his original tripe with more caps demanding that we try to understand.

Who has helped you (since you are clever only in calculations) is a perfect idiot

The planes with which you can find horizon must be about horizontal.

WHO HAS HELPED YOU HAVE USED PLANES NOT HORIZONTAL

THE FEET OF THIS OLD CROCK ARE INSTEAD ABOUT HORIZONTAL AND THEN THEY CAN BE USED TO FIND THE HORIZON LINE

I HAVE EXAGGERATED ERRORS IN THIS PICTURE JOINING THE FEET TO SHOW YOU THAT HORIZON IS WRONG ANYWAY

HORIZON, IN A PICTURE LIKE THIS, MUST BE RECTILINEAR

The first, third, and fourth pictures sts60 used were most definately horizontal. No amount of hand waving will not make it so. No amount of lying will make it so.

The horison is correct for the lander.

You are wrong yet again but will never admit to it. How sad.

You also have not answered the 14 questions compiled for you at the front of this thread. Do so.

HAVE YOU UNDERSTOOD I HAVE NOT JOIN THE RIGHT POINTS TO LOW THE HORIZON LINE

HAVE YOU NOTICED THAT THE TWO FEET ON THE LEFT ARE LOWER THAN THOSE ON THE RIGHT?

THIS FACT LOWS THE REAL HORIZON LINE.

YOU, AND YOUR FRIEND sts60, HAVE NOT YET UNDERSTOOD PERSPECTIVE

Posting in all caps does not make you right. We understand perspective in the real world much, much better than you do.

What do you want to demonstrate with this picture?

This train is going uphill and its last part is level or about level.

TO FIND HORIZON YOU MUST USE ABOUT HORIZONTAL SQUARES OR RECTANGLES OR VERTICAL SQUARES OR VERTICAL RECTANGLES WITH TWO HORIZONTAL SIDES

Study, guy, study. Learn perspetive with the greatest artists of my country

I see all the lines. Well done.

Thanks.

The point was simply to demonstrate that variations in terrain can change the relationship of the vanishing point to the visible horizon. In the Apollo 11 picture, the terrain is flat neither in the sense of being even nor "horizontal".

It's obvious, but you have to remember that hoax believers tend to be singularly inobservant of the everyday world, let alone alone anything that requires particular domain knowledge - which is not even necessary in this case.
